If your Pure Filter system leaks after installation, don't worry: in most cases, this is caused by a poorly positioned seal or an insufficiently tightened component.
This issue is usually quick to fix.
1. Check the faucet
The faucet is the most common source of a leak.
- Check that the seals and washers are correctly positioned
- Make sure the faucet is properly hand-tightened
- Do not over-tighten, to avoid damaging the seals
A poorly positioned seal can prevent a proper watertight fit.
2. Check the filter(s)
If the leak comes from the upper chamber, check the installation of the Coldstream FTO+ filter(s).
- Make sure the seals are correctly placed
- Check that the fixing nuts are properly tightened
- Avoid over-tightening so as not to deform the seals
3. Check the positioning of the chambers
Make sure the upper chamber is correctly positioned on the lower chamber and that the system sits flat.
